New Top Gear line-up to include US actor Matt Le Blanc as Chris Evans' co-presenter

Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is be one of the new presenters of Top Gear when the motoring programme returns to BBC Two in May.
The US actor will be the show's first non-British host in its 39-year history.
"Matt's a lifelong fellow petrolhead and I'm thrilled he's joining Top Gear," said Chris Evans of his new co-presenter.
Additional Top Gear cast members will be confirmed shortly, the BBC said
"As a car nut and a massive fan of Top Gear, I'm honoured and excited to be a part of this iconic show's new chapter," said LeBlanc. "What a thrill!"
The 48-year-old is best known for his role as Joey Tribbiani in Friends and has more recently been seen, as himself, in BBC Two sitcom Episodes.
"Acting out our craziest car notions on screen is a dream job and I know we'll both be debating some epic road trip ideas," continued Evans in a statement.
"We can't wait to share what we've been up to on screen later this year."
LeBlanc has twice appeared on Top Gear on its popular "star in a reasonably priced car" segment and holds the record for the fastest ever celebrity lap.
Alan Tyler, the BBC's acting controller for entertainment commissioning, called LeBlanc "a class act and a brilliant signing".

top gear sells well in the states , chris evans? unknown to most yanks, and probably anyone outside the uk, pretty obvious why they'd go for a septic who has a biggish profile in the states
its for cunts anyway, always was , always will be

and motoring Journo - Chris Harris (who is the only person of the three that i 'd tune in to watch as his youtube channel is EXCELLENT)

Frasier was not better than Seinfeld. Both were excellent. I think Frasier's ensemble capers were a bit more predictable than Seinfeld's though.

Weird how popular Friends is over in the UK its more so than in the US. DUnno why Seinfeld never got big much better show than Frasier and Friends which the UK adore.
I know hes not the best actor but I like Matt LeBlanc he is from the same part of Boston as me and went to my high school. Good for him getting this gig.

BBC gets about £50 million from international rights, so not sure chucking Le Blanc a mill will cause too many problems.

Never really been into cars and never liked Top Gear, just three prats being prats
But this does seem an odd line up. I like Le Blanc though, he's a decent bloke, Evans is an utter cunt though

If they go out and about in the same style as Clarkson and the rest then why won't it be good?
